The FlatRate Moving Process
THE REASON FOR OUR SUCCESS
FlatRate makes it simple for you by thinking ahead and planning out every detail of your move. Everything, from pricing & booking to following-up, sets the stage for success. We start working on a smooth execution of your move immediately after the first contact you create with our relocation consultant. We have designed a standard process for every move:
PRICING AND BOOKING
1. Your first point of contact at FlatRate is your Relocation Consultant. He or she will answer any
initial questions you may have and will make sure to:
• Prepare a detailed list of your inventory
• Plan your move logistics
• Advise you on the best way to keep track of your furniture and boxes
• Help you schedule a moving day
2. If Required, your Relocation Consultant will visit your home.
He or she will assess the physical conditions of your possessions and check for volume and unique
or odd-shaped items that may require any customized packing accessories.
3. You can select additional services for your needs.
We offer nearly every kind of service, to make your move as easy as possible:
• Room-by-Room or Full-Home Packing and/or Unpacking
• Disassembly and reassembly of electronic systems or furniture by experts
• House cleaning — preparation of your new home before you move in
• Crate building for any fragile or large items such as flat screen televisions, wine collections, etc.
• And if you need anything else, just ask!
4. Price is finalized and you can book your move.
Upon completion of prior steps, your all-inclusive flat rate will be calculated and put in writing. Your
Relocation consultant will reserve a truck and a crew and book your move.
MOVING LOGISTICS AND PREPARATIONS
1. Our Planning Department will begin the preparation process.
A specially assigned planner will determine logistics of your move by working out the details of your
move and anticipating and deflecting any possible issues.
2. We will deliver all the requested boxes and supplies.
We will deliver your box bundles and other useful packing accessories, straight to
your door a few days before your move.
3. We will make the final confirmation call.
All the details of your move, including any changes in inventory or additional services will be
confirmed a day prior to your move.
MOVING DAY
1. Our Dispatch will send you an SMS message or call to let you know that the crew is on its way.
2. A foreman of your crew will supervise and make sure that everything is being done to your
satisfaction. If there is anything you need, your foreman is there to help you.
FOLLOW UP
1. Our Field Manager will check in with you, noting anything that wasn’t to your complete satisfaction after your move.
2. Our Customer Service department is at your disposal to answer any questions you might have.
