I was busy collecting some moving stories from all those skeptical people who do not trust (and they right!) movers. Here they are — real life stories of people who skeptical in hiring a moving company.I was very skeptical in hiring a moving company,because I’ve been hearing negative comments about movers company, but the minute i spoke to ilia from flat rate San Francisco Moving company, i was very comfortable and to doubting at all. overall i was 100% happy with the service and the rate. i will definitely recommend to family and friends to use flat rate mover & i will definitely use flate rate again for my next move. I moved from Glendale, CA to Alameda, CA. I had never used a moving company before, was a little hesitant hearing all of the horror stories, and decided to go with flat rate San Francisco Moving company due to the overwhelming quantity of positive reviews and the high rating with the BBB. The guaranteed price attracted me because the last thing I wanted to deal with at my new home in Alameda was some surprise, exorbitant increase in the price. I had received quite a few quotes, all of them lower, but had been warned numerous times that the price could double at the time of the drop, a potential nightmare.Not so with Flat Rate San Francisco Movers. I knew where I stood right after Troy drew up the estimate. Overall, an easy experience that allowed me to focus on other matters pertaining to my move. I was impressed that Flatrate sent someone out to my residence without a guarantee that they would ever receive money from me. Troy went through each room with me and took notes the whole way.On the day of the move I was astounded at how efficient the movers were.Julio was the lead that day. With Gregory and Juan they had my furniture wrapped in blankets and plastic to the point where I no longer recognized it. All of my lamps, including bulbs, clothes, and glass framed pictures were carefully wrapped and packed. Boxes disappeared six at a time. They never stopped for a break. They had such a tight system down, I just stayed out of their way and let them work. Amazing.At the drop, all went smoothly. They reopened my furniture and arranged heavy items where I wanted. Julio made sure I inspected the truck after they were done. Now that I am unpacked, I can say that not one glass or dish was broken, not one piece of artwork was damaged or compromised. No tears, dings or dents in the furniture. Amazing. I do not think I could have done such a flawless job if I had moved it all myself. These guys showed an effort and level of sensitivity that I would expect if they were moving their own family.I will recommend Flat Rate San Francisco Movers to family, friends, and co-workers. This is the second time (in two weeks) that I have hired Flat Rate San Francisco Movers to do a move. I love Flat Rate San Francisco Moving company. My experience starting with Relocation Consultant, Ilia Golberg. He guided me through the details of Flatrate’s policies, he was courteous and helpful with all of my follow-up calls, you see I was arranging/coordinating a move(s) for my employer.This particular move was challenging in that there was a deadline on the day of the move, we had to be out by 1pm and then the contents had to be delivered to not one but two locations. The four men that “made this happen” for me and my employer were just perfect. Joseph Rodarte was leading the team and kept us focused and on-time. Joseph had helped me another move about 10 days ago. Both times, he presented himself as a professional and as a good project manager. All men were hard-working and attentive to the job at hand. Eric Avelar was invaluable. Pasha Scherbakov and Ivan Kovacevic, also very helpful. Eric, Pasha and Ivan had to disassemble and reassemble two pieces, I was aprehensive about this, but these men made all my concerns disappear. This was a big job, with not much advance notice and Flatrate “made it happen” for me and my employer. Again, thank you for your efforts. The best move I’ve ever had! The service is first-rate and the professionalism is unparalled. Great communication and follow-up make Flat Rate San Francisco Moving company the best! Very professional, courteous and straight forward. I would recommend Flat Rate San Francisco Moving company to anyone with no reservations. The pricing made this deal impossible to beat. We moved out during the worst of the heat wave, and I must compliment the two men who did all the work. THey were great. The sales and the service were excellent. The movers did an outstanding job taking care of the furniture from start to finish. I would definitely use Flat Rate Moving Company again. The movers Juan#2, Ryan and Fili were all very professional and courteous. They expertly prepared and wrapped my belongings for storage (later to be delivered to another apartment). They seemed to enjoy their work and told me they liked working for a reliable and honest company. I believe the Flat Rate San Francisco Moving company system is the wave of the future. This was the easiest move I’ve made! I had to move quickly, with less than a week of lead time I called Flat Rate San Francisco Moving company and scheduled it with no problems. Both customer service agents I talked to on the phone were professional and helpful. The competitively priced estimate I was given at first was the exact price Flat Rate San Francisco Moving company charged. The crew was very efficient and careful in packing up my belongings and everything arrived at my new home intact… I didn’t have to do a thing! I’ll definitely use FlatRate again and recommend it to others! The team that was sent over for my move was AWESOME!! Let me tell you , I have moved in la so many times and have had some pretty bad experiences, but the crew that moved me at Flat Rate was exceptional!!! They were very cool guys that knew how to get things done and were very quick. I was chillin' in my new pad relaxing before I knew it!! Let me tell you there is nothing worse than a move! But if you want to change a very negative experience into a tremendously positive one, start by calling 213-404-1080. There you will be carefully and expertly be helped by either Marian or Alex. Wow! They really know what they're doing. Everything will then be confirmed by Troy. Great! Fabulous! Excellent! are just a few of the adjectives. My moves, all three of them Cleo, Rey & Ryan ,were quick easy and perfect. Everything moved and wrapped to perfection, nothing broken and A SMILE ALL THE TIME!!! Please tip these guys, they don't have an easy job and they are handling your valuables like newborn babes!!! Great Los Angeles Movers. Friendly & Professional (05/14/2007)
I have never had such a pleasant and easy move in my life. Cleo, Jake, Tony and Juan arrived at my home on time and then worked hard to get all of my stuff out by the noon deadline (the new owners were moving in promptly at twelve!). But even before the moving day, Flatrate had made my move easier--I found out just days before my move that we were not going to be able to get into our new home until late Saturday night or early Sunday morning (and we had to be out of our old home by noon on Friday!). I called Flatrate in a tizzy and the helpful (and calm) saleswoman said that we could have our furniture delivered on Monday morning. They saved our move from certain disaster. I would use Flatrate again.

Professional and extremely helpfulThroughout the entire Los Angeles move process, we had great communication from members of the company, making sure everything was going well and to keeping us updated. The moving team was professional and extremely helpful right up to the morning of the move and made the process very easy and comfortable. I never thought that moving is such a pain. i was planning on renting a truck and doing everything by myself. When I realized that I have to rent protection pads for the furniture, boxes for my computer, TV, stereo etc… and then gas, tolls that I have to pay – it was too much of a hassle for me to deal with. I called couple moving companies and all I got is hourly rate with a guess of a total bill. When I called FlatRate – sales rep. went into the minor details and asked me every possible question about my relocation. In 5 minutes he provided me with all inclusive guaranteed price. On the day of my move movers were on time and did exactly what a sales rep. told me on the phone. Professional and fun – this is how I can summarize my move in two words.Best Los Angeles moving company around!!!!

To all the people that need to move… This past month I had to move out of my apartment, and a friend recommended me to call FlatRate Moving, and check their way of work. I’ve called, and talked to Alex, who explained me everything I need to know about the move, and told me the whole real price, with no hidden fees, based on the items that I moved. The move happened a few days after. The guys were polite and professional, worked hard and fast, and in no time the move was complete and the price was precise to the guaranteed price they promised and stood on their word! If you want to have a smooth, easy move I recommend you give them a call.

Wonderful Moving Experience (05/14/2007)
Los Angeles Moving can be soooooo stressful but my recent experience with Flat Rate dispells all those horror stories of unethical, criminal companies. My husband saw their moving trucks which were clean (graffiti free) and very attractive. We live in an upscale neighborhood and certainly did not want a gangster like truck parking on our street! The sales staff were exceptional and provided us with a quote, in writing. The crew was on time and wore uniformed shirts. The foreman was very polite and professional and our things were protected and moved professionally. I can't say enough about the high level of service...I will recommend this company over and over again.

Flatrate Flatrate California moving company just moved me & my family today to San Francisco. I tell you what a stress free move. I'm really surprise, I was making myself crazy for nothing. Flatrate guys (thank you everyone) packed all our furniture, dishes, books, dvds, Plasma televisions (we have 3), refrigerator, I mean everything, clothes, toys, you name it. We had so many things I thought this day wouldn't end. But the guys were efficient & courteous. They did their job well. Before the move they sent a great person to give me a free estimate & a guaranteed price. No hidden charges. I paid the price they gave me and that was it. Well done Flatrate Movers! Soon their local dispatch called us and confirmed the job and went over the details.He also seemed very polite and professinal,- i believe hi's name was Chris- and assured us everything is going as it planed and the movers will come tomorow @ 9 am. Not only did they show up on time but they packed nearly our entire apartment. Shortly after arriving Cleo the forman provided us with detailed information about the day and they started to work right away. Thank god they came with extra boxes and moving supplies and actually that we didn't even realize we will be needed! The packing obviously took much longer but once we arrived at our house they unpacked us in record time and even help us to reassemble our furniture. This was a painless move and really had a great time with the movers. ( Sorry I can't remember everybody's names.... ) The guys were very nice and honest and they couldn' t make the move more faster and more efficient and i must say, we were extremely pleased with their service. Very fast, friendly and efficient and very professional company which I wouldn't hesitate to use again and highly recommend to everybody ! Best movers I've ever used. This is for sure the greatest Los Angeles moving company. It is not the cheapest one but you get what you a paid for, no extra charges which I think is very important. I heard a lot of horror stories with other moving companies so yes I was a little bit skeptical but surprisingly everything went smoothly. They were 10 minutes late but that's okay, this is LA. Otherwise they were professional & friendly. Everything arrived in one piece. Love the name FlatRate & that is exactly what I got.

I have been ripped off before with other Los Angeles movers who have cheaper estimates, and then later they add on other charges for extra boxes, tapes & hourly time. A friend recommended the company to me and I couldn't be happier for choosing Flatrate. The price is fixed before the move based on what you are packing (no cheating because they will charge you for the things you didn't mention you were packing). So my advice is that you tell them exactly what you want moved & the price is reasonable. All my valuables were packed carefully, the movers friendly & professional. Can't thank them enough for this fabulous move. By the way I moved from a two bedroom apt to my new apt where they unpack my things for me.

I tried cheap ones, popular ones, don't know what I am thinking ones but then I found Flatrate with a lot of research. I have some friends in NY who said it is a great company needless to say I had my doubts that is when I saw Flatrate in California (a branch). So okay lets try them since I was moving from LA to Las Vegas. Big move, lots of stuff, I was especially worried about my plasmas & big pieces of furniture. They packed everything very carefully & professionally. They bubble wrap my plasmas & place them in wooden crates. Awesome! Everything arrived without a hitch. My hats off to Flatrate.

My Los Angeles move went very well. The pickup movers were on time and once they arrived they were very friendly and professional. I flew out to my destination early and the movers arrived within a couple of days of me being there. All of the items were in great shape and the unpacking went quickly. I am very satisfied with the move and everything came in at the original quoted price. Thank you to all of the great moving crew - Nikola, Boris, Seung Min, Victor, and Manuel. I also wanted to say how great the customer service was over the phone. Everytime I called there was someone friendly there to help. Thank you Flate Rate!

I was so happy with my move with Flat Rate Los Angeles. I have had so many negative experiences with movers and this was a breath of fresh air. The men were on time, polite, and most importantly, they took amazing care with all of my things. Not one ding or scratch on anything! Their moving men went above and beyond. They even made a leg / wheel for my bed frame that had been missing so the mattress/spring wouldn't be on the floor! I would recommend you over and over again for your amazing service - not to mention the fact that the price was extremely inexpensive and I wasn't watching the clock. Flat rate moving went above and beyond to make my move as easy and with no stress as possible. We cannot thank them enough for making this experience so pleasant- it is hard for us emotionally to move out of a place we loved but had to leave due to a new sweet addition to our family! :) I was very impressed with their work -from start to finish. Local or Long Distance Movers - Great Service (04/02/2007)
The first time I used Flatrate is when they moved my doctor's office to Santa Monica. I was a little worried about my expensive equipment but when I saw how efficient they bubble wrapped & packed those things I was impressed. Everything went smooth & the price remained the same. I also used them for my own personal move. Will recommend them to my colleagues & family.

Flat Rate packed us and shipped our household from Green Valley, CA near Santa Clarita to San Andreas, CA in the Sierra foothills.The crew was prompt, professional, personable and considerate. Our things were moved and set up with virtually no loss or damage. The crew went out of its way to be helpful and considerate. They offered us little conveniences that we would not have thought to request. No one in the throes of moving a household could consider the task a pleasure. But being looked after by folks that go out of their way to take the pain out of it sure helps a lot. Well Done!

I moved last week with Flat Rate Movers and it was EXCELLENT experience....everyone was very thorough, very responsible, very accomodating. The price was as promised. I would absolutely use FlatRate Movers again for our next move, whenever it may be. And we would absolutely reccomend Flat Rate to our friends and all citysearch. This is the only company that provides customers with a Flat Rate. I have used Flat Rate Moving Systems for my move, and it was Outstanding! The set-up (flate rate) is great but what reallymade the difference was the movers themselves. All three werehardworking, took their job seriously and very personable; I have movedfive times in the last six years in the Los Angeles area and this was thefirst one that was problem-free and the first one where the movers wereprofessionals.
