Felipe, Benjamin, and Alfredo worked very hard and took the time to help me move my furniture where I wanted it and if I had any concerns they addressed them quickly without question.
My boyfriend contacted the office via the website and we received a reply right away and even a follow-up which was great considering moving can be overwhelming. Sony and the office were very helpful and prompt and I like it when I called the office that they are available. When I had changes or questions in price she was able to do the quotes on the spot. Fast and easy process and the rates were great. Blankets and plastic wrap used in process and caution was taken in handling my goods. No extra charge for stairs.
I have moved professionally several times and would consider this even more efficient as there were 4 people so it moved more quickly. The e-mails regarding the move were also a good reminder but not too frequent to be annoying.

5/31/2009 - Israel, Alejandro and Julio were amazing! Israel was in and out of our apartment the most, so he was the main guy explaining the process to us and assuring us everything would be ok. (This was our first time using professional movers, so we had no idea what to expect!)
Israel is a great person to have on staff. He worked his butt off but also had a warm, calming personality. I'm telling you--I was so nervous until I talked to Israel. He is a walking advertisement for FlatRate. If you ever make a commercial, put him in it.

All three of them went above and beyond to get my move done and they did it with smiles on their faces! We had two VERY heavy couches which had to get up our stairs. 4/6/2009 - All 3 guys were polite and handed our goods with care. Joesph was especially attentive and organized. They worked steady and kept a good pace, it took them most of the day but they break down and set up your beds too and up packed my wardrobe boxes too. Wardrobe boxes are the coolest thing I had never used them until this move, and I move alot - 4 times in 3 years.
I would have liked to see the price a bit lower for such a short distance move 18 miles, however I liked that there were no surprises at the end on money owed.
I would use the services again forsure.

11/8/2007 - I moved from Glendale, CA to Alameda, CA. I had never used a moving company before, was a little hesitant hearing all of the horror stories, and decided to go with Flatrate due to the overwhelming quantity of positive reviews and the high rating with the BBB. The guaranteed price attracted me because the last thing I wanted to deal with at my new home in Alameda was some surprise, exorbitant increase in the price. I had received quite a few quotes, all of them lower, but had been warned numerous times that the price could double at the time of the drop, a potential nightmare.
Not so with Flatrate. I knew where I stood right after Troy drew up the estimate. Overall, an easy experience that allowed me to focus on other matters pertaining to my move. I was impressed that Flatrate sent someone out to my residence without a guarantee that they would ever receive money from me. Troy went through each room with me and took notes the whole way.
On the day of the move I was astounded at how efficient the movers were.
Julio was the lead that day. With Gregory and Juan they had my furniture wrapped in blankets and plastic to the point where I no longer recognized it. All of my lamps, including bulbs, clothes, and glass framed pictures were carefully wrapped and packed. Boxes disappeared six at a time. They never stopped for a break. They had such a tight system down, I just stayed out of their way and let them work. Amazing.
At the drop, all went smoothly. They reopened my furniture and arranged heavy items where I wanted. Julio made sure I inspected the truck after they were done. Now that I am unpacked, I can say that not one glass or dish was broken, not one piece of artwork was damaged or compromised. No tears, dings or dents in the furniture. Amazing. I do not think I could have done such a flawless job if I had moved it all myself. These guys showed an effort and level of sensitivity that I would expect if they were moving their own family.
I will recommend Flatrate to family, friends, and co-workers. Great job to all!

10/27/2007 - This was absolutely a first rate moving experience all the way. Elmer and his team (Hugo, Alberto, & ?) arrived at 9am on the dot, wrapped, packed, and loaded in an hour and a half. At the destination, they were unloaded and on their way in a little over an hour. All four men were extremely courteous, thoughtful, and took great care of my belongings. There were no surprises, and I was very impressed at how organized they were, with all of the necessary supplies, and a system as to who did what and how they loaded the truck.
The entire experience was painless--it's impressive to receive such great customer service from start to finish in this day and age. I can't say enough good things about FlatRate Moving and your entire staff--every single person I dealt with was fantastic.

9/3/2007 - We used Flatrate twice w/i 1 month. Both times the workers were amazing. So hardworking, careful, courteous and helpful (always asking if there was anything else). On the 2nd move it was 112 degrees, and the aircondition in the house was broken. The movers were so hardworking and kept going at full strength until the job was completed (about 12 hours) as we had 2 different stops. I would totally recommend Flatrate. From the beginning when Christine came and gave me an estimate, to the incredible hardworking movers. And, we had NO casualties (except for the glass my husband dropped)!
